A Visit to Northwest Arkansas and Lots of New Things!

Andi and I visited Northwest Arkansas where our family lives. We stayed for 8 days and had a great time. We visited my family, Cody's family, and some of my school friends too. While there, Andi started doing or perfecting several new skills. She started pulling up more which she had done a time or two at our house before we left. We had to lower the crib mattress the day we got back because she pulled up on the side of her crib before we left town. It's not uncommon these days to walk into her room and see her standing. She started saying "Mama" which I was thrilled about! (Sorry Cody!) She started trying to wave to people. Since we've been home, she's continued to pull up a lot. She'll get on her knees and rock some, but she's not that interested in crawling. She wants to be on her feet as much as possible these days.
She's tried some new foods too: avocado and bananas. She likes avocado like her daddy does, and she's learning to like bananas. They are the sweetest thing she's eaten so I think that's new to her. She'll be trying pears and apples in the next few days.We went and had her Easter picture taken with a bunny on Wednesday. She was scared of the bunny for a little bit, but once she felt how soft he was, she couldn't keep her hands off him. She kept pulling his ears and grabbing hand fulls of his fur. Poor bunny! Here's a picture of her in her dress just before going to have her picture made. Speaking of scared, that's a new emotion she's started showing. She'll tighten her fists up and make a "crying" noise that's different than all her other cries. She's done it with the bunny and when Cody opened a Wal-Mart sack kind of loudly the other night. It's interesting to see her grow and change in ways like that.

We are enjoying our days at home together still. She's so busy and at such a fun age right now! She definitely keeps me on my toes during the day and can't wait for her Daddy to get home to climb all over him in the evenings! Here's one of our most recent family photos.
Here are some recent photos of her! Enjoy!
