May 2010 Lots of Fun Stuff!

I'm so behind in updating the blog! Sorry! I'm going to do a quick run through of our summer and get caught up! Enjoy!

Andi loves taking a bath, but she really enjoyed bath time with Dada on this night! He kept the water running and running and running! She loves to play in the water while it fills up the tub! We finally turned it off so the tub didn't overflow! Cody played softball with our church team this summer. Andi and I went to a couple of games (most were past her bedtime unfortunately). She enjoyed cheering for Dada and wearing her Dada's Fan Club shirt I made her!
Since she has gotten so big, we bought her a new pool for this summer. She loved it! It has a great slide, two water areas, and sprinklers that spray out! She played so hard she wore herself out! She didn't want to get out of the pool though! We visited Harding on our way home from a weekend trip since we were going through Searcy. Andi hadn't been there before so it was neat to take her!

Mother's Day and 21 Months Old

What a wonderful day today has been! I have a sweet husband and a precious daughter who have made this day so special for me! I love being a mom, and I could never have imagined how much I'd love this little girl we've been blessed with.

Andi turned 21 months old today! We are quickly approaching 2 which is unbelievable to me!

Andi's 1st Pigtails!

Andi wore her first pigtails (or puppy dog ears as I've heard some ladies call them lately)! I loved them, and we'll definitely be doing them again! When I found out we were going to have a girl, fixing her hair was one of the things I was nervous about. Don't know why, I just was. But now, I've realized how much fun fixing her hair is! If only she'd keep a bow in for more than a couple of minutes! :)

Nap Hair, Mama's Blush, and the Zoo

What do these 3 things have in common? Andi!

She woke up from nap one day with the cutest hairdo I've ever seen! I had to take her picture of course!
She's always getting into things so why was I surprised when I found her with my blush one afternoon? She had climbed on my bottom drawer in the bathroom in order to reach the top drawer, and she had gotten out my blush. She had it all over her face and the floor, and she was ready to put some on Mama too! See what I mean about imitating everything!
We made a trip to the zoo one morning after she had been sick for several days. We wanted to get out of the house and celebrate the fact that she was feeling better! She loved the large animals like the giraffes and elephants, and she loved the busy animals like the monkeys, birds, and some of the bears who were awake. She made all of her animal noises as we made our way through the zoo. It was definitely a fun trip to the zoo! Notice in this last pic that she is missing a shoe! Yep...lost a shoe at the zoo! So, I proceeded to retrace our steps and walk around the zoo 2 more times in the 80+ degree Little Rock weather! It was not fun! Finally, I decided the lost shoe was a lost cause and I decided we'd leave. I exited through the gift shop and decided to stop and ask if anyone had turned in a shoe. The worker said someone had just a couple of minutes ago! Thank goodness I made that extra lap around the zoo or the shoe wouldn't have been in the gift shop when we left! :)

20 Months and a New Playset!

Andi turned 20 months old in April! It's crazy how the time if flying! She loves to play with dolls and imitates a lot of what she sees from Cody, me, and her MDO teachers with her babies. It's so sweet! She got a new outdoor playset in April too. It's "new to us", but it's just perfect and she loves it! We can't get her out of the race car swing sometimes, and she loves the slide even though it's very high up and goes very fast!

Playing with her doll. Carrying around that huge "diaper bag". I found an old purse of mine that she now uses for a diaper bag. :) Bringing the new playset home! Dada, her hero! She learned very quickly how to get to the top!Her race car swing that she loves! Not sure about coming down that slide the first time!

Catching up...Easter

I know...it's been a while! Things have been so busy for us lately that I've neglected the blog. Sorry! Going to try to catch everyone up with a few new posts.

Easter this year was so much fun! We began our day with a surprise from the Easter bunny! Andi loved her bunny basket and all of the goodies inside which included some of her favorite snacks and toys of course. It was neat to watch her explore her basket and new goodies. Then we went to a wonderful church service and had a potluck with our friends afterward. We also had an egg hunt for the kiddos. I wasn't sure how Andi would do, but she actually enjoyed hunting the eggs. The funniest part was when she wanted to carry all of her eggs in her arms instead of putting them in her basket. She loved getting into the eggs to find the treats too. It was definitely a wonderful Easter spent with our family and friends!

The stash the Easter bunny and our family sent. Digging in!Carrying all of her eggs!

Andi 19 Months Old!

I really can't believe we are now counting the months past 18 months! It's unbelievable how time flies! Andi's personality is blossoming more and more each day along with her vocabulary! We're at such a fun age! (I know I say that at every age, but it's all new to us so we love each month!) Andi continues to be a happy and healthy baby! She loves being outside on the occasional warm day that we may have now. I'm so looking forward to this summer with her! I know she's going to love the swimming pool even more this year! She's such a great helper right now! She loves to help put her clean dishes away as well as helping with the laundry. I'm enjoying this helper stage! She also loves playing with her baby doll and mimicking what she sees. I caught her with a toothbrush the other day brushing her baby's teeth. She loves to feed baby a bottle, cover her up, and just carry her around a lot! She's still a bit small for her age (23 lbs. or so and 32 in. at her 18 month appt.) but she makes up for it in sweetness, personality, and activeness! :) Here are a few recent pics! Enjoy!Ready to go in!Blowing kisses!Blowing bubbles is fun!

Snow Day!

We FINALLY got SNOW in Benton! We have had lots of rain and even some ice but no snow until yesterday! We were so excited! Andi had seen snow in Bentonville on Christmas Day, but we hadn't had any at our house. She wasn't sure what to think about it at first, but she warmed up to it. It was a beautiful snow-large flakes! We got a few inches! She enjoyed her time in it though it was brief, and I so loved seeing her play in it! Hopefully this won't be the last we see this winter!
